How do I connect Klaviyo, Mailchimp and other CRMs?
Send the assistant's events to Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, Customer.io or Segment; build the follow-up emails and segments yourself.
What is sent
When a support request comes out of the assistant, an “Agenola Support Request” event is sent to every connected marketing tool. The event is matched to a person by the visitor's email: if the visitor left no email, NO EVENT IS SENT.
agenola doesn't send any email; it provides the event and you build the follow-up flow and the segment in your own tool. Several tools can be connected at once; events go to all of them. If an event can't be sent, the request or flow is not affected. These tools don't conflict with your help desk.
Each tool also has flow actions, used in a flow step or in the AI Assistant step's “Integrations” tab.
Klaviyo
Klaviyo → Settings → API keys → “Create Private API Key”. A full-access key is simplest; a scoped key also needs “Accounts” read access. Enter the key (starts with pk_) in “API key” and press “Connect”.
Actions: creating, getting and updating profiles; getting lists, adding a profile to a list, removing it, subscribing to a list; sending events.
Mailchimp
Create a key under Mailchimp → Account & billing → Extras → API keys, and copy the Audience ID from Audience → Settings → “Audience name and defaults”. Enter both and press “Connect”; the server prefix is read from the key itself.
If the contact isn't in the audience it is created as “transactional”, NOT subscribed: someone messaging the assistant has not opted into marketing.
Actions: adding, getting, updating and archiving members; adding and removing tags; group categories; getting, replicating, creating a resend to non-openers, sending and deleting campaigns. “Send campaign”, “Delete campaign” and “Archive member” can't be undone and need confirmation on the step.
Omnisend, Customer.io and Segment
- Omnisend: create a key that can write events under Store settings → Integrations & API → API keys and enter it. Actions: creating or updating a contact, getting contacts, sending events.
- Customer.io: copy the Site ID and API Key from Settings → Account settings → API credentials → Track API, choose the “Data region” (US or Europe) and enter them. Actions: creating or updating and deleting customers, tracking events and anonymous events, adding to and removing from segments.
- Segment: add an HTTP API source under Connections → Sources and enter its Write Key. Because Segment also accepts a wrong key, the connection can't be called verified; check the Source Debugger in Segment after the first event. Actions: identifying a user, adding a user to a group, tracking events and page views.
Changing and disconnecting
Connecting, updating and disconnecting require the Owner or Admin role. To change a key, enter the new one and press “Update details”; to disconnect, press “Disconnect” and new events are no longer sent.
HubSpot and Salesforce appear in the catalog as “Soon” and can't be connected yet.
