- Access to your BigCommerce control panel: the store owner, or an account allowed to install apps.
- Your browser allowing pop-ups: you approve in a BigCommerce window.
What the BigCommerce connection gives you
When a visitor asks about a product, the assistant queries your store at that moment; the catalog is not copied into agenola. When you connect, an assistant flow named “BigCommerce Asistanı” is created and a script that shows the assistant button is added to your storefront (“agenola assistant” under Storefront → Script Manager in BigCommerce).
Connecting step by step
- On Integrations → BigCommerce, press “Connect to BigCommerce”.
- In the BigCommerce window, sign in to your store and approve the permissions.
- When the window closes, your store appears on the page: “Store connected. An assistant flow was created and you can use BigCommerce steps in your flows.”
If the window does not open or says “Not Found”, install the app from your BigCommerce control panel (Apps → Develop). On the screen shown after installation press “Finish in agenola”; agenola shows “A store installed in BigCommerce is waiting to be connected” — finish with “Connect to this workspace”. This link is valid for 30 minutes.
After connecting
- “Assistant button is on the storefront” confirms the button was added. If it couldn't be added, try again with “Add the button to the storefront”.
- “Edit the assistant flow” opens the created flow.
- The assistant reads: “Search products”, “Product details”, “Categories”, “Store info”.
- BigCommerce step actions in your flows cover: managing products, variants, stock, categories and brands; getting and listing orders, updating order notes, changing order status, cancelling and archiving; viewing shipments and refunds; customers; creating carts and checkout links; coupons and promotions; pages. For a visitor's own order there are also “Get order status” and “Send order request”.
The connection uses the app's own token, so it keeps working if the person who connected leaves the team.
Not supported yet: faceted search counts (options are taken from the results) and multiple storefronts (the button is added to the default storefront).
Troubleshooting and disconnecting
- “This connection does not have the app's current permissions”: reconnect the store.
- “This store is connected to another workspace” or “Another store is connected to this workspace”: remove the other connection first.
- “The time to finish the installation ran out”: uninstall and reinstall the app in BigCommerce, then press the button on the screen again.
- To disconnect, press “Remove connection”. BigCommerce steps in your flows stop and the storefront script is deleted. The app stays installed in BigCommerce; uninstall it from your store's Apps page separately.
