Quick start: put your first assistant live

A step-by-step first setup, from creating an account to an assistant your customers can talk to.

How agenola works

In agenola, your customers talk to an avatar. A flow decides what the avatar asks and does; the knowledge base holds the information it answers from; integrations connect your store, help desk and tools such as shipment tracking.

When a flow is ready, you get a share link. A customer opens the link and talks to the avatar by voice or text.

1. Account and workspace

  1. Sign up, or sign in with your Google account.
  2. On the “Create your workspace” screen, type your store name and, if you like, pick a business type.
  3. Press “Continue”. The panel opens, and a new workspace comes with sample flows.

2. Connect your store

Connect your store from the Integrations page: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento. The assistant reads your products, prices and stock from your store on every question; the catalog isn't copied.

Once connected, an assistant flow for your store is created automatically and the assistant is added to your storefront (in Shopify you turn it on under “App embeds” in the theme editor).

3. Edit the assistant flow

If you connected a store, open the assistant flow that was created. Otherwise, on the “Flows” page, add the closest template from “Ready-made flows”, or start a blank flow with “New Flow”.

In the flow editor you build the conversation by dragging and connecting steps. See the flow editor article for details.

4. Give the assistant information

Add the questions customers ask most and the facts about your store (delivery times, return terms, payment options) to the “Knowledge base” page. The flow's AI assistant step answers from there.

If you connected a Shopify or WooCommerce store, your store policies (returns, shipping and so on) are imported into the knowledge base automatically.

5. Choose the look and the avatar

On the flow editor's “Design” tab, choose the avatar, your logo, your colors and the page layout.

6. Try it and go live

  1. In the editor, use “Preview” to try the flow as a customer will see it.
  2. Use “Save” to keep your changes.
  3. Open your store and check that the assistant appears on the storefront. To share the assistant in your emails or on social media too, copy the public link from the flow's card on the “Flows” page.
